Sri Shirdi Sai Anandamaiyee Temple Humesamaradapalya is located off Mysore Road after Kengeri by Rajarajeshwari Hospital. The main temple structure was built in 2002 and several additions have been done like the Gurusthan, Dwarakamaiyee, Nanadadeep, Kandoba Temple and a place for worship of Lord Krishna and Lord Hanuman. The temple follows the Vidhi of the Shirdi style of worship with the Kakad, Dhoop, Evening and Sej Artis sung in Marathi. In addition to the regular poojas the temple trust also conducts poojas like Sri Satyanarayana Vartha and Sai Sahasrnama with regular chanting of Vishnu Sahasra Nama. A visit to the temple will take away the mundane life and enters to a peacefull and divine environment that makes you closer to Baba. (A devotee’s experience). Sri Shirdi Sai Anandamaiyee Temple was built by   Mrs. Samyukta Mahesh with help of numerous devotees. She was disciple of Sri Shivanesan Swamiji and Late Mrs. Zarine  (an ardent devotee of Baba). The temple trust is not for profit organization which dedicates to the service to Baba and his teachings. Lot of social service like Anna Dana, Empowering self-help among women, assistance in Education and computer classes to kids are undertaken.

  • Baba’s temple at Hunsemaradapalya has been built keeping in mind the similarities of Samadhi Mandir in Shirdi. The location of Samadhi mandir with the Gurusthan, Dwarakamaiyee and Maruthi temple are similar to that in Shirdi. We have recently added Nanda Deepam where there are 108 lamps which can be lit on every Thursdays and Sundays.
  • Around the Samadhi Mandir are placed 108 stones that remind the 108 names of  Baba. Devotees chant each name while crossing the stone.
  • Dwarakamaiyee is the ideal place for meditation; one can feel the vibrations and presence of Baba. The Dhuni (the fire) which is lit, is the same that is in Shirdi. It was transported from Shirdi by road. Baba destroyed His devotee’s sorrows and pain by burning, in the Dhuni. The Udi was also an indication that all will become a part of ash (Panchabhoota). He distributed this Udi among His devotees which cured diseases and protected them.
  • A wish fulfilling mango tree It is believed that if one prays asks with a true devotion to Baba and ties the thread to the mango tree his/ her wish will get fulfilled or prayers answered. The thread can be asked from the pujari of the temple, there is no money charged.
  • Next to the Mango tree is the Snake pit (Hutta), one can have a darshan of the same. It is observed that it is more than 7 feet of height and is still growing.
  • Nandadeep is place where devotees light lamps for Baba. Baba loved lighting of lamps, He believed that the five wick lamp was compressing and enwinding the 5 weaknesses namely lust, anger, ego, envy and greed and made them into a wick of the lamp and soak into the ghee of asceticism (simplicity) and light it with a spark of devotion. After the burning of the vices the Guru had shed the light and destroyed the darkness of duality and merged with Himself. He encouraged His devotees to light Nandadeep. Devotees can light the Nandadeep here on every Thursday and Sundays.
